A global tragedy started on 24 February 2022...
War is a tragedy and everyone is affected in this connected world. As many innocent people flee Ukraine, it's not without risks to their health and well-being. Our thoughts and prayers go to all these brave people and we feel so aggrieved and sympathize with their pleas for help. We pray God for the war to stop and this post is about how many of us from Hong Kong, have been discussing on how to help the war victims. And the most relevant way is to send money, food and other medical supplies; and thanks to Forbes for this article.
For us, we chose CARE and UNICEF (HK website for donations and this url from wherever you are). Losing your home and livelihood is extremely painful and we just want to help the victims. It is an eye opener and after reviewing the said websites, we have decided to dig in our savings and try to increase the amount we save (it's not a lot, but cutting on optional household expenses to help someone in greater need is more honorable) to also donate to other causes (other victims in Syria, Yemen, Afghanistan).
May this terrible war end without further bloodshed and destruction
