This is our express entry application timeline...
Our application deviated from the normal process slightly (which I highlighted so you can ignore it because you may not be faced with the same personal circumstances and COVID may not try to upstage you - and the Canadian immigration have also adjusted the process to help out as much too)
- Sep 2017: IELTS
- Nov 2017: It started here with submitting our application
- Dec 2017: Acknowledgement of receipt
- Feb 2018: Invitation to apply
- Apr 2018: Confirmation of submission/ Acknowledgement of Receipt
- Jul 2019: Request for Medicals*
- Jan 2020: Request for Medicals
- Mar 2021: Request to complete the Permanent Residence application
- Apr 2021: Request for Medicals
- May 2021: Passport Request
*First medical request occurred when we were expecting our baby 😀. So, we still had to do it minus the X-ray for MrsHKer.
For the highlighted steps, well, we actually had our Passport Request (and Visa counterfoils ready) to immigrate by Feb 2020, despite the horrible COVID... we could not leave yet, during the COVID madness and waited. Hence, the long wait till 2021.
Fittingly, we got notified we can resume and finalise our immigration process in Mar 2021 (which we did by Apr and May 2021) and we did our medicals again before leaving HK...
